最後試驗 Final trial

Since the bleached white warp will interfer the UV yarn under UV light, it needs to be covered by weft-face weave structures. Usually weft-face structute is created by finer weft and higher weft density. It means slow weaving process. Today I weave 43 cm long after full working day.  This piece will needs about eight working days. This will be final trial for the color changing project. If it doesn't work well indoor with proper UV light, the project will be set aside for a while. I might weave other series for the coming exhibition.
因為目前的白經線在UV光照下會產生藍色螢光，影響其他UV線的效果，所以更改織紋為顯緯組織，當然圖案效果也必需修改。顯緯組織通常使用較細的緯線，緯密也比較高，換言之織起來很慢。今天工作一整天只得43公分長，整件作品可能需要八個工作天。這件作品是變色系列的最後試驗，如果在室內用UV光照射效果不佳的話，就必須暫停這系列。就近期的展覽，可能改做其他系列。
